Kutty Patturumal - Kutty Patturumaal Grand Finale
Kutty Patturumaal is a reality music competition for kids on Kairali TV in which contestants sing Mappila pattukkal or Muslim songs. Mappila Paattu or Mappila Song is a genre of Muslim folklore rendered in colloquial dialect, which is very popular in the Northern part of Kerala. Mappila songs have a distinct cultural identity, while at the same time, remain closely linked to the cultural practices of Kerala. These songs use words from Persian, Urdu, Tamil, Hindi apart from Arabic and Malayalam. The show is currently anchored by Lakshmi and judged by Rehna, Sajila Salim and Firoz Babu.
